First Days of the Strike: Rocking the Lakeshore Loop

Humber faculty and students showed their commitments on campus and on social media during the first two days of the strike, while support for faculty began pouring in from across the province.

Writing in the Toronto Star, John Peters demanded that, “Rather than cutting funding, governments need to make the choice to reinvest in post-secondary education.” Quoting OPSEU bargaining leader JP Hornick’s forceful comments on fairness in the college system, Makda Ghebreslassie of CBC News explained “Why Ontario college faculty members are on strike.”

Here are some great updates from Humber picket lines. Stay strong everybody! We’re fighting a good fight and our message is getting through.
